Home Sweet Home

Hello Teacup Friends,

I've missed y'all!

I was away for 5 days with my four old school friends (one from grade one) and we enjoyed lots of laughs together and the beautiful sunshine in La Quinta, California.

I have never left my hubby or family and I don't like flying so it was quite adventuresome of me.

I did have a wonderful time but have had a cold and cough for over a week now.

I was hoping to find some teapot treasures in La Quinta but had no luck so I am sharing some of my favourites today.

Both teapots are Sadlers and this pretty in pink teacup is a Paragon.

 .

The second teacup pinky is Foley.

It's always fun to get away but so nice to return to Home Sweet Home (but not so nice to return to the rain).  Lol.

Thank you for stopping by today.
I hope you are staying healthy and finding your own sunshine.

See you next time!

Lime Green for March

Hello Sweet Tea Friends

Don't you love having friends and family helping you search for your favourite teapots?

My daughter-in-law's mother found this rare lime green Sadler Cube teapot at Value Village last week for $29.99.  It has a broken but glued handle... I hope it's not too noticeable in the pics.

Before she bought it, Lanny sent me a pic and asked me if I still wanted it with the break but I knew it blended so nicely with the lime green leaves in  my favourite rosy pink cube so of course I said yes... What's a girl to do?  Thank you sooo much Dear Lanny, I love it!

(I actually found Lanny's coffee pot to match her Mikasa Lavender Lane china.)

Now I have a lime green cube and mint green one (shared in my previous post :)

My china shopping rule is no chips or cracks but this was one exception to the rule.

I just love pink with any shade of green.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Have a Wonderful Weekend!

Blessings,
Karen

A Wintry March

Hello Sweet Friends,

I must apologize for my absence from blogging. My, busy busy life has made life challenging lately.

The snow has fallen once again today and I am looking so forward to springtime.

My hubby and son just finished shovelling the driveway.  I don't remember a March quite like this one and unfortunately snow is predicted for this week too.

I am up in my son's old bedroom which has become a storing ground.

Right now  odd chairs and tables are finding their home in here.

Hubby plans to eventually paint this bedroom but as you know we are putting much needed floors in at the cottage and the work is endless so it is on the "to do" list indefinitely.

I thought minty green would be a nice spring-ish choice for a snowy March day.

This pretty pastel flowered cup and saucer is a Foley.

This dainty polka dot trio is a Paragon.

This is my very first Sadler cube teapot that started my obsession.

The african violet is in bloom and

the oxalis is just starting to show some white flowers - love it's shamrock shaped leaves.

Thank you for stopping by today.

I hope the weather is cooperating in your part of the world.

Have a Wonderful Week!

Chintz for Tea Time

Hello Dear Tea Lovers,

Today I am in the mood for sharing some of my Chintz collection.

As you know I am not a big fan of yellow but I do love this pastel tone background with the pretty pink roses.

The teapot is Royal Winton's Welback which I found at a Goodwill a few years ago.

The teacup is a Royal Albert and the saucer which has the same pattern is Lord Nelson.

Sometimes you are lucky to find the matching cup or saucer and I think this one is close enough.

I found the The Royal Doulton figurine at a thrift store half price for $15.00 a few months ago.

The other pink and yellow rosy chintz teacup is Colclough.

 The teapot is a Ridgway.

Thank you for taking the time to visit me today.

Enjoy the last week of February Sweet Friends.

I do hope that Spring is coming soon.

See you next time!
Karen
