Pretty Pink Vintage Finds

Pretty Pink Rose Vintage Finds

I found this little Bavarian pitcher at Bargain's Galore in Burlington, Wa.  while 'Cruisin' for Collectibles'

This little demitasse was on a clearance table at Echoes -  a China Store in North Vancouver, B.C.

My good friend gave me this lovely creamer and sugar bowl which is made in Germany.

The rosy plate trimmed with yellow was my mother-in-law's.

Another treasure...made in Germany.

The meaning of the color pink is
unconditional love and nurturing.

The color pink represents compassion, nurturing and love. It relates to unconditional love and understanding, and the giving and receiving of nurturing.

A precious collectible from my precious sister!

Tea Time by the Window

May is the month
Of sunshine and flowers
Birds in their nests
And one or two showers.

Let's stay away from the May showers and have a cozy and comforting cup of tea inside by the window.

This is a precious vintage Paragon teacup.  It's outer cup is white.

The inner cup is adorned with a pink rose and a floral pattern  of white, mauve and greenery.

The saucer is similar to the inner cup.

The handle , footed base and rims are trimmed with gold gilt.

Do you like mint green with pink?

Thank you for having Tea Time by the window!

Cruisin' for Collectibles #3 - A Danish Tribute

Welcome (Velkommen)
and Good Morning (God Morgen)

Today is the birthday of Crown Prince Frederik. He is the heir to the throne of Denmark and will become king one day.

He is the elder son of Queen Margrethe II
And Henrik the Prince Consort.

Since my husband and his family were born in Copenhagen, Denmark I wanted to
feature this beautiful and dainty pastel blue teacup trio today.  We were very fortunate to find this pretty collectible this week while "Cruisin' for Collectibles".  It was at Value Village for just $9.99 (all 3 pieces)!

This Vintage Danish (dansk) Bing & Grondahl Seagull bird Porcelain teacup, saucer and tea plate are gold trimmed and textured to the touch.

The pattern was retired since 1997.

The teacup is tiny, almost like a demitasse and measures 3 1/2 '' in diameter and 2 1/4 '' in height.

Some of my favourite Danish treasures...

The Little Mermaid
Bing & Grondahl Figurines....
We inherited this lovely piece from my husband's parents.

My hubby's grandfather and uncle were both shoemakers in Denmark.

Collectible plates....

And our precious Royal Copenhagen Tureen.

Constitution Day on June 5th this year is a holiday in Denmark.

The Danish Flag

Tak (Thank you) for visiting the Cottage and Castle.

Forstat god dag (Have a good day)!
