Happy Father's Day

My Father

I am so very proud of my wonderful father. He was a hardworking man who had  a love of music.  When he was young he was the conductor of his own jazz band  called the"Royal Ambassadors".   He also played the saxophone in the band.

Later he opened a music store - Empire Music in New Westminster.

He had his own printing press and published his own educational music books.
My husband helped him to print his many music books.
He sold the Aulos Recorder along with his Classroom Recorder Method book.
He wrote many other music books as well.  He was well-known amongst music teachers in the music education field.

He loved to play the piano until his Parkinson's Disease made him unable to do so.
This is his beautiful grand piano and his photo when he was 2l.

My dad was an amazing provider for his family and loved to travel with his trailer throughout the United States and relax at Birch Bay too.

He walked me down the aisle in 1982.

  I miss him dearly!

August 3rd, 1918 - May 16th, 1993

I love you, dad!

Happy Father's Day to all Fathers and Grandfathers around the world!

We will never forget you!

Father's Day

Over the years
As we grow old,
We remember our father
So brave and bold.

He would give advice
And understand;
He was always there
To lend a hand.

God made fathers
Strong and firm,
For he knew our lives
Would have great concerns.

So he gave us fathers
To teach us to pray,
And guide our lives,
And show us the way.

So on his day
Let's take the time
To say "Thanks, dad.
I'm glad you're mine."
