Green Tea to Avoid Seasonal Colds

Welcome Faithful Teacup Friends to

"Green Tea to Avoid  Seasonal Colds"!

The weather has turned fallish and my family has been battling the germs of the season.  I am feeling tired and am trying to fight off the cold symptoms too.

Even my wee grand daughter has the sniffles.

Isn't a hot cup of tea soothing for whatever ails?
 (Especially for a sore throat?)

Today I am having a cup of green tea.  My daughter's boyfriend believes it helps him avoid getting the cold and flu. Since he is a Teacher on Call he needs something to keep him healthy.

Did you know that green tea may actually help you avoid these bugs?

Green tea is known to have many properties that can help keep you in tip-top health – and therefore better prepared to ward off cold and flu bugs. The jury is out on how many cups of tea are optimal, but 2-3 per day are often recommended. If you do come down with cold or flu symptoms (or feel them coming on), consider 3-4 cups of green tea per day to expedite ridding your body of those nasty bugs and give your body’s defenses an extra jolt.

Well, treasure hunting can always make one feel better too!  Lol.

I felt especially lucky to find this pretty Aynsley teacup at Value Village last week for $9.95.  I couldn't resist because I had another matching minty green one at home.

The Gibson's teapot Made in England is one of my favourites.

This is the other dainty teacup that I found that day at Value Village.  It is not an Aynsley but a Foley.

All of  the teacups on the stand are Aynsleys.
(sorry about all of the dark pics)

Thank you for joining me today for

"Green Tea to Avoid Seasonal Colds".

I do hope you are all staying healthy friends

Thank you so much for visiting!

See you next week!

An Indoor Tea Time

Hello My Treasured Tea Time Friends

I suppose it's time again for

An Indoor Tea Time!

It's sprinkling out and I am feeling a little chilly. And I am thinking that possibly our outdoor teas may be over until next spring especially if this fallish weather persists but indeed ... isn't it the perfect time for a warm cup of tea and a visit with treasured friends like you?

I found this pretty Johnson Brother's Teacup at Salvation Army in North Vancouver a few months ago.  I was lucky to find the cup on one shelf and the saucer far away on another shelf.  They were $.99 each.

The colours attracted me immediately.  Such a dainty flower with colours of pink and turquoise. Also a match for the cottage decor.

I found the tea plate another day.

 Isn't treasure hunting fun?

Do you know the name of this pattern?
I am thinking it would be a nice everyday set since it looks so durable and unlike most of my teacups it could go in the dishwasher.

Oh yes,  remember I told you that I thought there would be no more pink or white roses at the cottage?  Well,  I was wrong.  What a pleasant surprise I found today.

Do you ever look for teacup books?

This one is a treasure.

I wonder where this teacup has been and what it would say.

I'm sure our vintage teacup collections would have a lot to tell us.

Thank you for stopping by for

An Indoor Tea Time!

Have a Wonderful Week Treasured Friends!

A Summery September Tea

Welcome Dear Teacup Friends to

"A Summery September Tea!"

The sun is shining at the cottage and we must take advantage of this summery September day and have our tea outdoors.

I am wondering how many more outdoor tea times will be possible with the fall season quickly approaching.

Today I am sharing two teacups which you have seen before and my beachy teapot.

Love the daisies on the inner cup.

Love the pink roses on the outer cup too!

The hot pink African Violet match the bright adirondack chairs.

Thank you for joining me for

A Summery September Tea!

Hope Summer is lingering in your home too.

See you next time!
Karen
